Some helpful information
#1 - Bookmark this website it has links to workbooks and recipes in case you lose yours. It also helpful information and videos for some of our tougher recipes!
#2 - Sign up for REMIND right now. I use this to communicate a lot.
#3 - Read through the course outline. Foods is a CTS course where each unit is its OWN credit.
#4 - Absences - if you miss a work period, work hard to catch back up. IF you miss a cooking day - you are allowed to miss ONE cooking day; if you miss more than one you will receive a ZERO for that cooking day. To make up the lab you can cook the recipe at home, take 6 pictures of you cooking and have a parent/guardian fill out the Missed Lab Form (above). You send all of these to Ms. Bower when you are done and you will receive the marks.
#5 - Get things done on time. If you are not done your work up to a checkpoint or completion - you do not cook :(
